We hear you.
Being a leader isn’t easy.
Beyond the critical issue of securing funding, not-for-profits have a multitude of challenges to balance that put unique pressure on leaders.
As a CEO, you are expected to be an entrepreneur, on top of board relationships and governance, ethics, your program delivery, team and organisational culture, and you need to fundraise and be financially savvy. The work is fulfilling and important but without the right executive support, it can be a struggle.
It’s a tough job, but we believe passionately that people working to improve the lives of others in the community should never have to feel isolated or unsupported in their roles.

Mentorship matters
Kilfinan mentorships are strategic, long-lasting, impactful partnerships that leverage the talent and knowhow of some of Australia’s most experienced and highly regarded senior leaders.
Our mentorships unlock the full potential of not-for-profit leaders, creating positive impact for their organisations and communities. In fact, community feedback consistently shows that mentee organisations better navigate risk, are more financially sustainable and operate to a higher standard.
Put simply, when not-for-profit leaders thrive, their organisations and communities thrive too.

Terms and conditions
Kilfinan mentorships are self-driven, confidential, professional relationships. Once matched, there’s no obligation on the part of either of you to disclose any details of your discussions to anyone else.
We suggest mentors and mentees meet a minimum of six times per year but you are free to design your mentorship as you see fit. The structure and framework for each mentorship is entirely up to the participants. It should be considered flexible and evolving as your relationship progresses.
Most Kilfinan mentorships last around two years, but there is no time limit. The conclusion of any mentorship can be at your own discretion. But, if you leave your position within your organisation, we’ll ask that you conclude.
By signing up to participate, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
